The day before [the Harry Potter London premiere] I was
just sitting in Leicester Square, happily being ignored
by everyone. Then suddenly strangers are screaming your
name. Amazing.
I have been playing the piano for my entire life - since
I was three or four. And the guitar - I used to play classical
guitar from when I was about five to 12 years of age. Then
I didn't play guitar for like years. About four or five
years ago, I got out the guitar again and just started playing
blues and stuff. I am not very good at the guitar, but I
am all right. I am in a band in London as well.
I kinda just approach it from the front. (on how he approaches
his kissing scenes)
Up until I was 12 my sisters used to dress me up as a girl
and introduce me as 'Claudia'! Twelve was a turning point
as I moved to a mixed school and then I became cool and
discovered hair gel.
I walked out the wrong car door and started walking into
the crowd, An interviewer said, 'Give your best horror scream,'
and Stan did this great scream, and I was too much of a
wimp to do one. It was pathetic! (on her first appearance
on the red carpet)
I am now determined to do really weird parts but I think
I overdo it in auditions so nobody really trusts me!
That's the worst thing, I dont really care if people say
I'm a bad actor, I can like work on that, but if they just
say that he's ugly that's just like "oh... really?"
Since I started acting it's kind of been a bit mad. I never
really did anything before and two years ago I started acting
and I've kind of been in work ever since. Then Harry Potter
came along and it's been a huge step and a massive event
in my life.
I got expelled from my school when I was 12; I was quite
bad!
I haven't really decided to be an actor yet! I started
doing plays when I was about 15 or 16. I only did it because
my dad saw a bunch of pretty girls in a restaurant and he
asked them where they came from and they said drama group.
He said "Son, that is where you need to go.
ROBERT ABOUT TWILIGHT
We did like a thousand different ideas. Like, we did this
thing with salts, like flakes of salt, and stuff. And I
was doing all these things, like every single thing. I remember
they painted one of the PAs blue, just kind of a confused
direction He ends up kind of just a kind of blue head
- I dont really know what they were thinking with
that. (on trying to get Edward to sparkle during filming)
Its one of the hardest things I've ever done. Ive
done wire work in other stuff but normally with wire work
you're just like getting hit and so you just fall over and
it doesnt really matter what happens. You know, anyone
can fall. But I mean with all the stunts in this, you kind
of have to look good and you kind of look like you're doing
it, so its kind of tough.
ROBERT ABOUT HARRY POTTER & HIS COSTARS
She is really, really cool. She seems so much older than
she really is. I find her quite intimidating. I always find
myself trying to impress her. She's very, very clever! (about
Emma Watson)
I think Dan [Radcliffe] could steal anyone from me! If
I was a girl I would pick Dan.
Then I got a call the next day from the assistant director
saying that they were putting me on a personal training
programme. I thought that would be pretty cool, because
it would make me take it seriously. It was run by one of
the stunt team, who are the most absurdly fit guys inthe
world. I can't even do 10 press ups. I did about three weeks
of that, and in the end I think he got so bored of trying
to force me to do it that he wrote it all down so that I
could do it at home. (about getting in shape for Harry Potter
and the Goblet of Fire)
We had this bonding week at the begining and I did a lot
of improvising with Rupert and he's really, like hes incredibly
funny, but just as a real person, because hes funny in the
film obviously, but he can do - he's like really versatile
doing acting, and Emma as well, she can just, she just does
it, shes an actress, she always has been and she's just
incredibly intelligent young person.
Yeah. I get on really well with Katie, she's a really cool
girl. I don't have many talking scenes (with her). Most
of my scenes, like big scenes, are just with Dan. I dance
with her, and there's a lot of scenes like holding hands
and stuff like that. But I get on really well with her.
She's a nice girl. (about Katie Leung)
I'm a big fan of Michael Gambon. I had one scene sitting
next to him at the dragon task, and I had no idea what to
say to him at all! He was the only person I asked for an
autograph the whole way through it!
I think Cedrick is really a polite guy, and I wasn't really
before. So I kinda become alot more polite during the film-
and uh, I've started to hold doors open for people and things,
and saying thank you for everything. People would say hello
to me and I would say thank you back.
KRISTEN STEWART ABOUT ROBERT
Robert
dazzles me.
I think hes really handsome. He cant lie. Hes,
like, incapable of lying.
Itll be great (in reference to him writing the lullaby).
Hes just insecure; it will be really good.
Hes so good and hes so soulful and hes
just not a liar you can feel pain from him
STEPHENIE MEYER ABOUT ROBERT
I
am ecstatic with Summit's choice for Edward. There are very
few actors who can look both dangerous and beautiful at
the same time, and even fewer who I can picture in my head
as Edward. Robert Pattinson is going to be amazing.
I've actually named it the 'Rob Effect.' For some reason,
like I don't know it just seems like the fans take a few
days to get used to something. And it was most obvious when
they announced who it was going to be playing Edward and
everyone freaked out and there was all this online controversy
and now everyone completely loves Rob.
To conclude, I would like to make a few comments about
Rob and Kristen, who are the true heart of this movie. First,
they are both amazing actors. Second, they are channeling
Edward and Bella like nobody's business. Third, you might
want to bring a paper bag to the movie, because their on-screen
chemistry may cause hyperventilation. That is all.
CAST OF TWILIGHT ABOUT ROBERT
Rob is definitely Edward.
He's so complicated, so poetic... I mean, you cannot help
but like this guy! (Kellan)
